Books
Do not buy lots of books.
You won’t use them.
No really, don’t do it.
There are only a handful of books that you need to buy (in my opinion):
-
A decent anatomy and physiology book e.g. Martini, Marieb etc.
-
12-lead ECG: The art of interpretation, Garcia, ISBN 0763712841
-
Clinical pathology, Carton, ISBN 0198569467
-
Clinical skills, T.Roper, ISBN 0199574928
-
Learning radiology: recognizing the basics, Herring, ISBN 0323328075
What about embryology, histology, pharmacology, clinical medicine…I hear you cry.
Borrow them from the library.
Or use online podcasts/youtube videos. Many are listed on this website.
As a side note: here’s a page of some non clinical books which will expand your mind.
I love your site it is very insightful, concise. It helps me a lot since I am a visual learner, the mind maps are amazing!
