Station 1 – GI history
– Pernicious anaemia

Station 2 – Prescribing station
– Had to prescribe appropriate fluids for a dehydrated patient
– Write up the medications on a new drug chart and stop any medication as necessary.
– VTE prophylaxis was no needed
– No patients in the station

Station 3 – Hand exam

Station 4 – Communication
– Speak to patient and set up normal saline which was already prescribed through the IV giving set.

Station 5 – Breast examination

Station 6 – ABCDE
– PE

Station 7 – Counselling
– Hypertension
– Discuss management of hypertension with a patient who had high blood pressure

Station 8 – Respiratory exam

Station 9 – Abdominal exam
– Renal transplant

Station 10 – GI history
– Peptic ulcer secondary to long term NSAID use

Station 11 – Resp history
– Asthma patient having asthma attacks secondary to NSAID use due to knee pain

Station 12 – Gynae history
– Patient had menorrhagia and wanted to find out about the possible options

Station 13 – Gynae skill
– Triple swabs

Station 14 – Psych history
– Patient wanted to commit suicide wanting sleeping pills
– Difficult to get history as patient was not very cooperative
