Cardiology for med students

ECG website with amazingly clear videos. Need to pay, but it’s worth it.

Beautifully illustrated tutorial by Blaufuss.

Dr Ho is the cardiac murmur king.

A Temple University study proves that you can dramatically improve your cardiac auscultation skills, by repeatedly listening to murmurs on your iPod.

Here’s a link to the 3 most common you need to identify as a med student. Only mitral regurgitation is missing, but Dr Ho has that covered (see link above).

A decent tutorial about the common arrhythmias you will see on the ward, and ACS.

MediMaps

Tip: If you want to edit my maps, simply download and install the VUE computer programme. Then you can download the VUE files instead of the picture files.

  1. Hi! Thank you so much for making medicine enjoyable and understandable. Your mindmaps are really helpful. I can’t find maps on the following topics: Arrhythmias, atrial fibrillation, infective endocarditis, pericarditis, and rheumatic fever. May you please if possible upload them or via email. Thank you in advance.

    1. Hi, thanks for the feedback.
Unfortunately its been a busy time again, with nearing the end of GP training.
When I get a chance, I will look into these topics. Thanks.
